Complete Fossil Mold Kits

Kits contain the following:

4 fossil molds of your choice, 5 pounds of plaster (enough for 25-30 casts), 4 paints in fossil colors, 12 paint brushes and an instruction sheet. 

 

We currently have the following molds to choose from: Ammonite, large Shark Tooth, small Shark Tooth, Onchopristis tooth (sawtooth shark), Pine Cone, Trilobite, Brachiopod, Sea Horse, Crab, Gastropod, Turritella and Allosaurus claw molds.

Each Kit contains 4 molds of your choice, 12 paint brushes, 4-2 oz. bottles of acrylic paint and 5 lbs. of plaster. The kit contains enough plaster to cast 25-30 specimens, depending on the size of the mold. There is enough paint to paint over a hundred casts. The molds can be reused for years and years. The paint can be washed out of the brushes with plain water and can be reused.

Cating Instructions

Step 1

Measure correct portions of plaster and water

Step 2

Mix plaster into a pudding type consistancy

Step 3

Pour plaster into the mold

Step 4

Jiggle the mold so that the plaster fills the mold evenly

Step 5

Wait an hour then pop the cast fossil out of the flexible mold

Step 6

Paint and display
